QPP 23: The Stoneman Douglas School Shooting
Nick & Peter discuss the February 14, 2018, mass shooting that occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and the law enforcement response to it.

This podcast covers reports of several Broward County deputies who did not run in and engage the shooter, active shooter training. Note that at the time of the recording, Peter and Nick were responding to media reports that, in addition to Deputy Scot Peterson (who resigned after it became known that he stayed outside the school building during the mass killing), at least three other Broward County deputies stand accused of taking concealment behind their vehicles outside the school during the shooting. On February 25th, however, this account seemed to be challenged by Broward County Sheriff Israel during a CNN interview.
Nick and Peter then discuss the response by the school kids who lost friends in the mass killing. On this last, Peter and Nick are steadfast in their support of the kids, and for (as anyone who has listened to the podcast or who knows Peter and/or Nick might guess) different reasons.
